Supported scanners (for iOS only)

Important: Socket Mobile scanners can be integrated with the RingCentral Events Organizer app iOS version only.

Socket Mobile scanners:

The scanner can be used in the Organizer app on the following pages:

  • Admin mode attendee listing page.
  • Scan QR page (camera should be turned off).
  • Kiosk mode welcome page.
  • Kiosk mode scan page (camera should be turned off).
  • Segment check-in screen (camera should be turned off).

Tip: To learn more about setting up a scanner, refer to the guides on Performing pairing reset, Performing factory reset and Configuring and pairing Socket Mobile devices in application mode for iOS.

Internet requirements

  • One network: Both the printer and the mobile device running the Organizer app need to be on the same network to be successfully connected.
  • IP: DHCP without a splash page (some devices may NOT be able to connect via a splash page).
  • Dedicated Bandwidth: 5 Mbps upload and download.
  • Wired Internet connection: Using a mobile connection is risky due to variable service quality. Some venues only support certain carriers, and cell tower bandwidth can decrease as more people arrive at your event, potentially reducing it to an unusable state.

Commonly used routers:

Note: There are no specific routers required. Just make sure your router meets the internet requirements listed above.
