When adding team members to help manage and organize events, you have the flexibility to manage their permissions and access to different events. This guide explains the difference between Admins and Members, how to change a team member's role and give event access to members.
Important: This legacy Starter plan doesn't include the ability to manage team members' roles.
Admins vs members
When creating an Organization, you automatically become the Organization owner, the only person who can request to delete the Organization or transfer ownership to another Organizer by contacting our Support team. When adding more team members, you will need to select their roles:
- Admins: Can access all existing events, create new events, and manage the Organization. Admins have the same permissions as you.
- Members: Can access only the events they've been assigned to. When added to an event, Members have the same permissions within an event as you, but they cannot delete the event or create a new one.
Note: All added team members, regardless of their assigned role, count towards the total number of available Organizers. The RingCentral Events plan has 10 Organizer seats included.
Changing permissions per organization
To manage the existing list of team members, in the Organization Dashboard, click the Profile icon, click Manage Organization and go to Team.
To change the permissions of a team member, in the Role drop-down, select a different role, either Admin or Member (the difference between the two is explained above).
Managing team access per event
Admins have access to all events, while Members need to be manually assigned to each event to be able to manage it.
In the Organization Dashboard, hover over the selected event and click the Team Access icon to manage team access.
Here, you can see the list of team members with access and without access to the event. To give access to a Member, in the Event access drop-down, select Full Access.
Click Quick actions to give access to everyone, or restrict access to Admin only with one click.
