Pinning a chat message

Pinning a message is a great way to highlight key information for your attendees. A pinned message is is displayed at the top of the public chat, making it easily accessible to all attendees, even as new messages are posted. This guide explains how you can pin, unpin and replace a pinned message. 

Note: Only Organizers or Organization team members can pin messages.

To create a pinned message:

  1. Send a chat message with the content you want to highlight.
  2. Hover over the message.
  3. Click the Pin icon.

A pinned message is is displayed at the top of the chat and marked with the Pin icon.

Note: You can only have one pinned message per each segment chat (Event, Stages, Sessions, Expo Booths).

To unpin the message:

  1. Hover over the pinned message. 
  2. Click the Pin icon once again.

To replace the pinned message with another one:

  1. Hover over the message you would like to pin.
  2. Click the Pin icon.
    ✔ You will then get a prompt to confirm this action.
  3. Click Replace to continue.
    ✔ The new pinned message will be displayed in the same way as shown above and will replace the existing one.
