Setting up Mootup on the RingCentral platform

How do I set up the Mootup app?

What are the capabilities of the Mootup app?

  • Enhance your event with a 3D expo hall, give attendees the ability to visit with sponsors, explore new offerings, and interact with staff in real-time.
  • Boost audience engagement by adding 3D networking spaces to compliment an event and bring attendees closer together to drive meaningful connections.
  • Seamlessly integrate Streamyard into a 3D auditorium to create a dynamic shared experience amongst your attendees.

This is currently only available within the App area of RingCentral.

What plans is the Mootup app available on?

This app is available to RingCentral Events Business plans.

What attendee data is shared between the Mootup app and RingCentral?

RingCentral and the Mootup app do not share any attendee data between them.

How do I set up the Mootup app?

Note: Make sure you have the App Area enabled.

You’ll need a Mootup license to use this app. Request a quote from Mootup here.

To get started, you will need to install the Mootup app to your RingCentral Organization. You can access the App Store by going to your Organization Dashboard and heading to the Apps tab. Then click on Discover More on App Store.

You can find Mootup under the Fun & Games category. Click Install app to add the Mootup app to your Organization.

Screenshot 2023-10-12 at 2.14.30 PM.pngNext, navigate to your Mootup account and get the public URL of your Mootup World and paste it into a text editor.

You will need to find the Space and World IDs. These fields are in bold in the example below. 

https://app.learnbrite.com/dashboard/spaces/visit/[Space Id]?worldId=[World Id]

Make a note of these Space and World IDs.

Next, head back to your RingCentral event and go to your Event Dashboard > Venue > App and:

  • Select Mootup as the App for the area.
  • Input the Space and World Ids you obtained above.
  • Input the Menu Label for the App area.

Note: If you haven’t installed the Mootup app yet it will not show up in the dropdown menu. In this case, click on the “Explore App Store” button and you will be sent to the App Store page with apps eligible for the App Area. There you will be able to find and install the Mootup app.

Click Save and your attendees will see the App area in the left panel of your event.
