Registering for an event

  • Updated

To attend an event hosted on RingCentral Events you will need to get a ticket on the event registration page. The process might vary slightly based on the event configuration. This guide explains how to register for an event.

Important: By registering for an event you are creating a RingCentral Events account and agree to the RingCentral Acceptable Use Policy, Global Platform Terms and Privacy Policy.

Note: If your user account is automatically created when registering for an event, it will have One Time Password (OTP) enabled. This means that you'll be emailed with a passcode each time you sign in to your account later on, independently from this particular event. To learn more about this authentication method, refer to our guide on Using a One Time Password (OTP) for your RingCentral Events account.

To register for an event:

  1. Go to the event landing page. Landing pages may have different designs, but most likely, you'll need to click Register to get started.
  2. In the Registration widget, select a ticket and click Continue.
At this point, you can sign in to your existing RingCentral Events user account to have your data populated automatically and enter a promo code if applicable.
Note: If bulk registration is available, you can select multiple tickets. To learn more about it, refer to our guide on Purchasing event tickets for others.

  3. Next, enter your registration information (email, name and any additional custom questions added by the event host). Once ready, click Continue.
Important: Ensure you enter the correct email address.

  4. Next, if registering for an event under a hybrid or onsite ticket, you will be automatically offered an option to reserve a seat in onsite segments with limited capacity. Click Reserve a seat next to the chosen segments.
✔ The segment is marked with the Selected tag.

  5. Next, if the tickets are paid, you will be prompted to enter your card information. Paying by card is the only supported online payment method on RingCentral Events. Once ready, click Register.
Note: Your name and email will be automatically used in the cardholder details. It's not possible to use a different billing name directly. As a workaround, use the credit card holder's name to register for the event and later change it to your name in the Profile Dashboard of your user account.

  6. Finally, review the registration confirmation and the email address the confirmation email is sent to. Depending on the event registration configuration, you may also be able to share your participation in the event on LinkedIn, visit the LinkedIn company page and join the LinkedIn event community.

  7. Head to your mailbox to find your registration confirmation email. It will include the event details, your personalized Magic Link link to enter the event and the QR code (in case you have a hybrid or an onsite ticket).

Tips on the next steps:

  • Accessing the event: The quickest way to access the event is by clicking on your Magic Link in the event emails. Alternatively, sign in to your user account and enter the event via your Profile Dashboard.
  • Accessing the event before the start time: If you access the event before the start time, you will be taken to the waiting room of the event. If Early Access is enabled, you'll also be able to add scheduled items to your agenda and schedule 1:1 meetings with other participants.
  • Checking-in with QR code (applies to in-person attendees only): Keep your confirmation email and the QR code ready to check in to the event and sessions. When you arrive at the event venue, scan your QR Code at the kiosks to print your badge and check in to the event.
  • Downloading the Attendee app:
  • Changing or cancelling ticket: If you need to make any changes to your ticket, contact the event host
