Showing/hiding schedule segments based on ticket type

When linking a Stage or a Session with restricted access based on the ticket type to a schedule segment, only attendees with the specified ticket types will see it in the schedule within the event. 

To show/hide schedule segments based on ticket type:

  1. Create ticket types:
    • Go to Event Dashboard > Registration > Tickets. For detailed steps, refer to our guide on Creating tickets.
  2. Set up Stages and Sessions:
    • Go to Event Dashboard > Venue > Stages/Sessions. Edit one of your existing Stages or Sessions or create a new one.
    • In the Stage/Session settings, under Access, set Who can watch to Specific ticket types and select the ticket types.
    • In the Session settings, under Session scheduling, select Scheduled.

    • Click Save to apply the changes.
  3. Link Session to schedule:
    • Go to Event Dashboard > Venue > Schedule to create a new schedule segment or edit an existing one. For detailed steps, refer to our guide on Creating schedule.
    • Under Segment Type, select the corresponding event area (Stage or Sessions). Under Virtual Space, select the specific Stage or Session with restricted access. 

Attendee experience

When people join your event, they will only see open schedule segments and segments associated with their ticket type on the Reception page.

Example:

  • Breakout Session 1 is set up for Ticket 1, while Breakout Session 2 - for Ticket 2.  
  • Attendees registered under Ticket 1 will see the associated schedule segment Breakout Session 1.
  • Attendees registered under Ticket 2 will see the associated schedule segment Breakout Session 2.
