When editing recordings, you can trim out awkward silence at the start or the end of the presentation or divide a long recording into several parts. The edited recordings are called clips and can be published to Replay for attendees to view.

Note: Clips are created based on the original recording. It will not change the original recording, which will be retained so that you can create multiple clips from the same original.

To create clips:

  1. Go to Event Dashboard > Recordings (or to Event Dashboard > More > Recordings if your event hasn't ended yet).
  2. Under Original Recordings, click the Menu icon ••• on a recording you'd like to edit.
  3. Select Create Clips.
Note: You will also find this option in the Recording settings.

  4. In the video editor, you can play your video and use the cursor on the timeline to find the needed moment.
  5. Click + Add Clip to create a new clip.
✔ A clip appears below the video on the timeline. The placement of the cursor defines the start of the clip.

  6. Adjust the start and end of the clip by either grabbing and moving the ends of the clip on the timeline or by entering the precise timings into the clip summary.

  7. If you want to start from scratch, click the Cross icon ✘ , and the clip will be deleted.
  8. Once happy with the clip, add the name and click the Check Mark icon ✔.
✔ The clip will be saved.
Note: Your clip has not been created yet. You must click Create Clips in the top right-hand corner to finalize the edits. Still, the created clip will be saved as a draft. You can click Back to recordings and return to the editor later to finalize and export the clips.

  9. To add another clip, repeat the process. Click + Add Clip and select the clip on the timeline.

  10. Once ready, select Create Clips.

  11. Review the clips you've created and click Create.

Under Clips, you will see the clips you've created. The newly created clips may still have the Processing status. Once processed, you will be able to publish them to Replay.
