If you're having a CORS error while watching a broadcast in a Stage area in an event, please follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue.

Note: The CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing) error typically appears with a message like, "Could not load the manifest file. Make sure the source is set correctly and that CORS support is enabled." This error occurs when your browser blocks a resource from being loaded because it is being requested from a different origin (domain, protocol, or port) than the one you are currently on, and the server has not explicitly allowed this cross-origin request.

Reload your tab: Sometimes, simply reloading the tab can resolve the issue.

Check your country's internet restrictions: If you are in a country with strict online censorship (like North Korea, China, Russia, Iran, UAE, etc.), local firewalls or filters could block access to certain content or services on RingCentral. You may need to use a VPN to bypass these restrictions. However, note that some countries also block VPN usage, so ensure your VPN service is reliable and secure.

Check your corporate device and network: If you are using a workplace device or network, corporate firewalls, VPNs, or security policies may restrict access to certain online content. Contact your IT department or network administrator and ask them to whitelist the necessary websites and open specific network ports. You can find a detailed list of these requirements in our guide on Network connectivity settings.

Tip: For a quick solution, switch to a personal device and network.

Disable firewall, VPN, or proxy on a personal device: If you have a personal firewall, VPN, or proxy configured on your device, try disabling them temporarily to see if they are causing the issue.

Check your browser: Ensure you're using Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge (chromium version on Windows 10 and above only) and it is updated to the latest version.

Tip: Try a different supported browser. For example, if you're using Chrome, use Firefox to access RingCentral Events.

Disable third-party browser extensions: Third-party extensions can block some RingCentral Events interface elements. Open the event in Incognito mode (Ctrl + Shift + N on Chrome) or a Private tab (Ctrl + Shift + P on Firefox) to bypass potential extension issues.

Run a Pre-Event Check: If you're still facing issues, perform a pre-event check to diagnose any potential problems with your connection or device settings. This can help identify any underlying issues that may be causing the CORS error. For detailed steps, refer to our guide on Testing your local setup with RingCentral Events Pre-Event Check.
