The Event chat report provides a log of all public chat messages sent in specific areas of your event.
Important notes:
- The Event chat report can be generated for each chat area individually. A consolidated report for all event chat messages is not available.
- Session Breakout room chats, Backstage chats, and private conversations between attendees cannot be downloaded.
- This report includes messages posted by Exhibitors and Organizers.
Downloading the report
To download the Event chat report:
- Go to Event Dashboard > Analytics > Reports.
- Find the Event chat report, click Generate and select the preferred option from the drop-down.
- Once you have generated the report, click Download CSV.
- Alternatively, go to the Downloads tab to find your report at the top of the list. Hover over the report and click the Download icon.
Note: Generated reports are available for download for one week. After that, you'll need to generate a new report.
Report overview
Each Chat report will include the same information type, no matter which event area it is for. Here is an example of how the Event chat report may look like:
- Time: Date and time the message was posted.
- First Name
- Last Name
- Headline: The attendee’s profile headline.
- Country/Region: The attendee’s country (based on their IP address; may be inaccurate due to VPN/Proxy usage).
- Ticket Type: Name of the ticket associated with this registration.
- Level: Indicates if the message was posted in the thread (top or reply).
- Text: Copy of the chat message. If the message was deleted by the Organizer, this will read "This message was deleted."
- Reaction Count: Number of emoji reactions left to the message.
