This guide explains how to install the Action Button app on your Organization account and add it to your event for engaging polls and surveys.
What is Action Button?
Action Button is an engagement tool used to create polls, quizzes, sentiment polls, sign-up forms, feedback forms, donations, petitions, and more. Action Button offers a free plan with limited functionality, while advanced features require a paid subscription.
How does the integration work?
The Action Button can be embedded into the activity panel of a Stage, Session, Expo Booth, or Reception enabling attendees to participate in the poll within RingCentral Events without leaving the platform.
Installing Action Button
To install the Action Button app on your Organization account:
- In your Organization Dashboard, go to the Apps tab.
- Click Discover more on App Store.
- In the App store, you can find Action Button under the Polls & surveys category.
- On the Action Button page, click Install app.
✔ You'll be prompted to confirm your choice. Click Install to continue.
Adding Action Button to your event

In a multi-track event, Action Button can be added to the Reception area and each Stage, Session and Expo Booth individually.
- In the Event Dashboard, navigate to your Reception settings or to the settings of the specific Stage, Session or Expo Booth to which you'd like to add the app.
- Scroll down to the Apps section.
- Under Action Button, select the Enabled check box.
- Enter the tab name (e.g. it can be Action Button or anything else).
- Enter the Widget ID.
Note: Your Widget ID can be copied from the Action Button shared URL. Here is what the URL will look like.

- Once ready, click Save.

In a Webinar event, there is a single activity panel due to the singular virtual space, either Stage or Session. To add Action Button to your Webinar event:
- Go to Event Dashboard > Setup > Basics.
- Scroll down to the Apps section.
- Toggle Action Button on.
- Enter the tab name (e.g. it can be Action Button or anything else).
- Enter the Widget ID.
Note: Your Widget ID can be copied from the Action Button shared URL. Here is what the URL will look like.

- Once ready, click Save.
