This guide explains how to install the GoFundMe app on your Organization account and add it to your event for fundraising.

What is GoFundMe?

GoFundMe is a crowdfunding platform that helps charities and individuals raise money. GoFundMe does not require a paid subscription to create a fundraiser, but it will charge a transaction fee for each donation.

How does the integration work?

The GoFundMe fundraiser can be embedded into the activity panel of a Stage, Session, Expo Booth, or Reception enabling attendees to make donations and see the fundraising progress directly within RingCentral Events.

Installing GoFundMe

To install the GoFundMe app on your Organization account:

  1. In your Organization Dashboard, go to the Apps tab.
  2. Click Discover More on App Store.

  3. In the App store, you can find GoFundMe under the Donations category.

  4. On the GoFundMe page, click Install app.
✔  You'll be prompted to confirm your choice. Click Install to continue.

Adding GoFundMe to your event

  • In a multi-track event, GoFundMe can be added to the Reception page and to each Stage, Session and Expo Booth individually.

    1. In the Event Dashboard, navigate to your Reception settings or to the settings of the specific Stage, Session or Expo Booth to which you'd like to add the app.
    2. Scroll down to the Apps section.
    3. Under GoFundMe, select the Enabled check box.
    4. Enter the tab name (e.g. it can be Fundraiser or anything else).
    5. Enter the GoFundMe URL.
Important: Ensure to enter the full URL. Here is an example of what it should look like: https://www.gofundme.com/my-test-fundraiser
    6. Once ready, click Save.
  • In a Webinar event, there is a single activity panel due to the singular virtual space, either Stage or Session. To add GoFundMe to your Webinar event:

    1. Go to Event Dashboard > Setup > Basics
    2. Scroll down to the Apps section.
    3. Toggle GoFundMe on.
    4. Enter the tab name (e.g. it can be Fundraiser or anything else).
    5. Enter the URL.
Important: Ensure to enter the full URL. Here is an example of what it should look like: https://www.gofundme.com/my-test-fundraiser
    6. Once ready, click Save.

Disconnecting GoFundMe

To remove the GoFundMe integration from the event, navigate to the associated event area settings in the Event Dashboard and remove the added URL. Alternatively, go to the Apps tab in your Organization Dashboard to uninstall the GoFundMe integration for the whole Organization.
