This guide explains how to install the Slack app on your Organization account to get notifications about your registrations.
What is Slack?
Slack is a popular communication & messaging platform that enables team members to connect and collaborate. Slack is used by many companies and organizations. It offers a free plan with limited functionality, while more scale and features require a paid plan.
How does the integration work?
You will get a notification anytime someone registers for one of your events in Slack.
Note: RingCentral Events sends the registrant's first and last name to a Slack channel.
Installing Slack
To install the Slack app on your Organization account:
- In your Organization Dashboard, go to the Apps tab.
- Click Discover More on App Store.
- In the App store, you can find Slack under the Registration workflow category.
- On the Slack page, click Install app.
- Enter the Slack webhook URL.
Note: Follow the instruction in the Slack Help Center to create an incoming webhook (Hopin is the former name of RingCentral Events).
- Click Install.
✔ You'll receive a confirmation that the webhook has been installed successfully.
