This guide explains how to install a webhook on your Organization account.

What are webhooks?

A webhook is an event-driven communication functionality that automatically sends data between applications via HTTP. Webhooks are usually used to connect apps and systems, allowing them to share real-time data. Many applications offer webhooks as an option.

How does the integration work?

With the help of webhooks, you can export registrations from your RingCentral Events account to the location of your choice.

We are sending the following data: Charge ID, Date and Time of registration, Event name and slug, Registration External ID, Registration ID, Organization Name, Persona, Registration Type, Email, First Name, Last Name, Full Name, Headline, Town, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Website.

The Registration Object properties can be collected using the Registration ID in RingCentral Events' API.

Installing a webhook

To add a webhook to your Organization account:

  1. In your Organization Dashboard, go to the Apps tab.
  2. Click Discover More on App Store.

  3. In the App store, you can find Webhooks under the Registration workflow category.

  4. On the Webhooks page, click Install app.

  5. Enter your Webhook URL and click Install
✔ You'll receive a message confirming the integration has been completed.

Tip: For test purposes, you can use https://webhook.site.

Testing the integration

To confirm the integration is working, register for your event. To complete a test registration, open the landing page in an incognito/private browsing window. This ensures that you register as a test user (rather than through your Organizer account).

After registering, you'll see that the webhook arrived at your specified address.
