This guide explains how to go on screen and interact with others in a Session room or an Expo Booth in the RingCentral Events Attendee mobile app (iOS).

Important notes:
The RingCentral Events Attendee app provides limited functionality and is designed for attending and watching the event. For a full experience, especially if you’re speaking at an event, always use a desktop device. Some of the limitations include:
- Screen sharing: You cannot screen share when joining a screen in the app.
- YouTube integration: YouTube videos shared in a Session room via direct integration will not be visible.
- Registering interest: The Expo Booth Register interest option is not available.
Joining a Session
To access a Session room:
- Go to Explore > Sessions.
- Select a Session that interests you.
- Review the Session description and additional information and tap Watch now.
To go on screen:
- Tap Join Session or Ask to Join Session. If a Session is moderated, you'll need to wait for a Moderator to approve your request.
- You will be prompted to grant permission to the RingCentral Events app to use your camera and microphone. Tap OK to proceed.
- Ensure your camera and microphone are functioning correctly and tap Join now.
Once you are on screen, you can:
- Turn on/off your camera and microphone using the controls at the bottom.
- Access the activity panel (Chat, Polls, People, and Q&A) by tapping the Chat icon in the top right corner.
- Double-tap another user's video feed to make it full-screen. Then drag and drop your own video feed to reposition.
To stop sharing your video and audio, tap the Red Phone icon. To exit the Session room, tap the Cross icon x in the top right corner and confirm by tapping Leave.
Joining an Expo Booth
To access an Expo Booth:
- Go to Explore > Expo.
- Select a Booth that interests you.
- Review the Booth description and additional information and tap Watch now.
If the Expo Booth is set up as a Session, follow the steps above to go on screen and access the activity panel.
If the Expo Booth is set up to display a pre-recorded video or Google slides, there will be no option to join the screen and the activity panel will be placed placed underneath the video feed or slides.
Segment activity panel
Each Session and Expo Booth has its own activity panel with different tabs where you can interact with the event segment.
In the Chat tab, you can exchange messages with others.
In the People tab, you can review the list of other attendees currently watching and participating in the Session.
Tip: Tap a user to review their profile information, send a direct message, schedule a 1:1 meeting, or report them.
In the Polls tab, you can vote in the polls created by the event host.
In the Q&A tab, you can ask a question (including anonymously). Submitted questions may need to be reviewed by an Organizer or a Moderator first.
Tip: Upvote existing questions by tapping the Thumbs up icon (the more upvotes, the more popular) or list the questions by Latest or Popular using the Menu button at the top right.
