When experiencing video playback issues such as blurry, fuzzy, choppy, or freezing video while watching a broadcast in the Stage area, these tips can help improve your experience.

Checking internet connection

Poor video playback is often due to a weak internet connection. Use a strong WiFi connection or, preferably, connect via ethernet. The recommended internet speed is 30+Mbps upload and download.

Adjusting video resolution

By default, the video player on Stage automatically adjusts to the best resolution for your internet connection. The resolution may fluctuate between higher and lower qualities to maintain the best possible viewing experience.

If the auto quality setting is not working well for your available connection, you can manually adjust the video resolution in the video player settings:

  1. Click the Settings icon at the bottom right of the video player.
  2. Click Quality.

  3. Select your preferred resolution:
    • 270p and 360p are recommended for slower internet speed. While the video quality will decrease, the overall viewing experience should improve.
    • 540p or 720p should be fine for most users with stable internet connections.
Note: If you have manually selected a resolution and it’s not working well, you can revert to the Auto setting by following the steps above.
