Integrating Kahoot! with RingCentral Events

This guide explains how to install the Kahoot! app on your Organization account and add it to your event for interactive learning games or trivia quizzes.

What is Kahoot!?

Kahoot! is a popular game-based learning platform used to create, share, and play learning games or trivia quizzes in minutes. While Kahoot! is free, some advanced features may require a paid subscription.

How does the integration work?

The Kahoot! app can be embedded into the activity panel of a Stage, Session, or Expo Booth, enabling attendees to play Kahoot! games within RingCentral Events without leaving the platform. The host shares the browser tab with the game and questions, and attendees enter the game PIN and answer questions directly in the activity panel.

Warning: Be mindful of a 10-15 second delay between the Backstage and the live Stage. For real-time interaction, it's recommended to use Kahoot! in a Session room or an Expo Booth.

Note: RingCentral Events and Kahoot! do not exchange any attendee data.

Installing Kahoot!

To install the Kahoot! app on your Organization account: 

  1. In your Organization Dashboard, go to the Apps tab.
  2. Click Discover More on App Store.
  3. In the App store, you can find Kahoot! in the Most popular section or under the Fun & Games category.
  4. On the Kahoot! page, click Install app.
    ✔  You'll be prompted to confirm your choice. Click Install to continue.

Adding Kahoot! to your event

  • In a multi-track event, Kahoot! is enabled for each Stage, Session and Expo Booth individually. To add Kahoot! to your multi-track event: 

    1. In the Event Dashboard, navigate to the settings of the specific Stage, Session or Expo Booth to which you'd like to add the Kahoot! app.
    2. Scroll down to the Apps section.
    3. Under Kahoot!, select the Enabled check box and enter the tab name (e.g. it can be Kahoot! or anything else).
    4. Once ready, click Save.

  • In a Webinar event, there is a single activity panel due to the singular virtual space, either Stage or Session. To add Kahoot! to your Webinar event:

    1. Go to Event Dashboard > Setup > Basics. 
    2. Scroll down to the Apps section.
    3. Toggle Kahoot! on and enter the tab name (e.g. it can be Kahoot! or anything else).
    4. Once ready, click Save.
