When purchasing a paid ticket for an event hosted on RingCentral Events, a basic receipt is automatically sent out via email by Stripe. This guide addresses common questions about ticket invoices and receipts from both the Attendee and Organizer perspective.
For Attendees
Do I get a receipt when buying a paid ticket?
Yes, once the payment is successful, you will receive a basic receipt from Stripe. If you cannot find this email, please contact the event organizer who will be able to resend it to you.
Can I get a custom invoice with my company details for my ticket?
If you need a custom invoice or receipt with your company details, contact the event organizers. They should be able to issue an invoice with their company details. RingCentral Events acts as a virtual platform for hosting events, while the event hosts manage all ticket sales.
Can I pay with a business card for my ticket?
When buying a single ticket, the attendee's name is used in the billing details by default. It's not possible to use a different billing name directly. As a workaround, use the credit card holder's name to register for the event and later change it to your name in the Profile Dashboard of your user account.
For Event Organizers
Can I send a receipt to my attendee?
Yes, when purchasing a paid ticket, users receive a basic receipt from Stripe. If the email is lost, you can resend this receipt from your Stripe dashboard:
- Log in to your Stripe account.
- Go to Payments.
- Locate the payment you wish to issue a receipt for.
- Hover over the payment, click the Menu icon ••• and select Send receipt.
Can I customize default receipts?
No, customizing attendee receipts sent by Stripe within RingCentral Events is not currently possible. Check if Stripe can provide any assistance.
Can I create a custom receipt/invoice for one of my attendees?
No, creating custom receipts or invoices is not supported within RingCentral Events. You will need to create one manually. Check with Stripe for any assistance they might provide.
How can I charge taxes on ticket sales?
Our ticketing system does not support the addition of taxes. If you need to add a tax to a ticket, you will need to include it in the final ticket price. To communicate it to your attendees, you can mention in the ticket description that the ticket price is tax-inclusive.
Can I add VAT tax to my tickets and send VAT receipts?
Our ticketing system does not support the addition of VAT. If you need to add VAT to a ticket, you will need to include it in the final ticket price. To communicate it to your attendees, you can mention in the ticket description that the cost of the ticket includes VAT and taxes.
Can I offer an option to pay by invoice?
Currently, Stripe is the only method to process ticket payments online on RingCentral Events. As a workaround, you can create a dedicated free ticket and email the attendees the payment details once they register with this ticket.
