Setting up Reception page

Reception serves as a lobby where attendees can learn about the event and get oriented. It's typically set as the landing page, making it the first screen your attendees see when they join your live event. The Reception displays:

This guide explains how to enable Reception and add the welcome message and apps.  

Enabling/disabling the Reception area

  • In multi-track events, Reception is enabled and set up as landing by default.  

    1. Go to Event Dashboard > Set up > Basics
    2. Under Event areas, unselect the Reception check box to disable it. 
    3. Click on the Menu icon ••• next to a different area and select Set as Landing Area to set it up as landing instead.
    4. Click Save.

  • In a Webinar event, Reception is disabled by default. To enable it:

    1. Go to Event Dashboard > Set up > Basics.
    2. Click Show webinar areas next to the chosen webinar style.
    3. Select the Reception check box to enable it. 
      Optional: Click on the Menu icon ••• and click Set a Landing Area to set it as a landing page.  
    4. Click Save

Customizing Reception 

  • To customize Reception in a multi-track event:

    1. Go to Event Dashboard > Venue > Reception (or to Event Dashboard > Content > Reception for Onsite events).
    2. Under Welcome Message, use the text editor to add a description, embed widgets, videos, hyperlinks, downloads. See our guide Understanding Customizable Content Area and Additional Information for more details.
    3. Under Apps, you can configure apps added to your Organization to integrate into the event-wide activity panel, including Slido, GoFundMe, Mentimeter, Action Button and many more.
    4. Once ready, click Save

  • To customize Reception in a Webinar event:

    1. Go to Event Dashboard > Set up > Reception.
    2. Under Welcome Message, use the text editor to add a description, embed widgets, videos, hyperlinks, downloads. See our guide Customizing content and additional information areas for more details.
    3. Once ready, click Save
