You have the flexibility to create both free and paid tickets for your event. This guide covers some aspects to remember when hosting a paid event.

Connecting Stripe

To create paid tickets, you need to connect Stripe to your Organization account. Stripe is the only method to process ticket payments online on RingCentral Events. Only one Stripe account can be connected to your Organization, so ticket transactions for all your events will run through the same account.

Configuring currency

To configure the currency for your event, go to Event Dashboard > Registration > Landing Page. Under Settings, in the Currency drop-down, select the currency for your tickets. Tickets can be sold only in one currency for each event. However, different events can have different currencies if needed.

Building ticket pricing strategy

Selling event tickets successfully requires a good strategy and proper planning.RingCentral Events offers various features to help you design your ticket pricing strategy and incorporate different marketing tactics, including early-bird offers, last-minute deals, discounts, tiered pricing, and gradual price increases.

  • Ticket availability settings: You can set a limited number of tickets available for a limited period, creating urgency for potential buyers.
  • Promo codes: You can create promo codes to offer discounts for your targeted audience.
  • Private tickets: You can create private tickets with special offers only accessible through a dedicated link.

Creating a free private ticket

Since private tickets can only be accessed via a dedicated link, consider creating a free private ticket for your Speakers or Moderators. This will allow them to register for your event via the landing page.

Having a free ticket is also a must if you plan to register your Speakers while creating Speaker profiles. To learn more about this, refer to our guide on Adding Speakers.
