When using RingCentral Events Studio to produce a stream in a Session room or on a Stage, multiple players get involved. This guide defines the main roles and outlines their permissions and access within a Studio.
Tip: To learn more about all event roles and their permissions across the event venue, refer to our guide Understanding roles & permissions: Organizers, Attendees, Moderators, Speakers, and Exhibitors.
Organizers
An Organizer is a user who created an Organization or has been added as a team member. Organizers possess access to all settings within the Event Dashboard and have full permissions within the event venue. They can enable Studio on a Stage or in a Session and have full access to moderate it.
Tip: For more details on how to manage a stream in the Studio, refer to our dedicated guide Moderating RingCentral Events Studio.
Moderators
A Moderator is a registrant assigned by the Organizer to moderate a Session. Similar to Organizers, Moderators have full moderating permissions in a Studio. Additionally, Moderators can create and delete Polls and approve and delete Q&A submissions within their Session.
Note: Moderators can be assigned to moderate a Studio in a Session, but not a Studio on a Stage.
Speakers
A Speaker is a registrant with a speaker profile created by the Organizer. Speakers can get a direct Studio link from an Organizer or a Moderator. They have limited permissions within the Studio: they can participate in the private chat and share content, including slides and video files. Speakers can preview the event for test runs before the start time.
Note: Everyone who clicks on the Studio backstage link will be automatically added as a Speaker, registered for the event, and brought into the Studio. They will still need to sign in to their existing RingCentral Events user account or create a new one. For more information on how the Speaker invite link works, refer to our guide on Inviting speakers to RingCentral Events Studio.
Tip: For more details on Speaker experience, refer to our dedicated guide Speakers: Using RingCentral Events Studio.
Attendees
An Attendee is a registrant who attends an event online. Attendees can request access to the Studio in a Session room and be brought into the Studio by an Organizer or a Moderator. They have the same permissions within the Studio as Speakers.
