Studio branding settings

This guide explains how to manage branding settings in the RingCentral Events Studio to customize your stage color, background, waiting screen effect, and edges style.

Color palette

To change the color theme of your Studio broadcast:

  1. Go to the Branding tab in the Studio panel. 
  2. Under Color palette, you can change your primary color by using one of the following options: 
    • Color picker: Click Primary and select a color using the color picker. Use the slider to choose a hue and find a value. The HEX code of the color you select will automatically populate in the box.
    • RGB: Click Primary and enter your RGB values right below the color picker. 
    • HEX: Click on the box with the HEX code (e.g. #ec8b3c) and enter your own code. Press Enter.
    ✔ The color palette is automatically generated in the Preview box. The changes are automatically saved and the selected color theme is displayed on the stage.
Tip: To replicate your brand's color theme, you need to know the exact HEX code or RGB values for your main brand color. If you are not sure of the code, you can use an online color picker to upload your logo or image and it will generate the color codes for you.

Stage background

To customize the stage background of your Studio broadcast:

  1. Go to the Branding tab in the Studio panel.
  2. Under Stage background, you can select one of the following styles:
    • Solid
    • Flat
    • Aurora
  3. Alternatively, select one of the uploaded images.
    • To upload an image, click Add Image.
    • All uploaded images will be listed under Uploads. Click the Bin icon to remove an uploaded image.

      Tip: When uploading your own custom background, keep the following things in mind:

      • Image format: Compatible formats include JPG/JPEG, PNG, and GIF.
      • Image size: For best results, the recommended size is 1920x1080 pixels with a 16:9 aspect ratio.
      • File size: Under 10MB. Keep the file size smaller so it uploads quickly and doesn't increase your internet bandwidth usage.
    ✔ The changes are automatically saved and the selected background is displayed on the stage. 

Waiting screen effect

The waiting screen displays the message "This segment hasn't started yet, stay tuned!" your audience sees before you go live in a Session room. To add an effect to the waiting screen of your Studio broadcast:

  1. Go to the Branding tab in the Studio panel. 
  2. Under Waiting screen effect, select one of the following options:
    • None (no effect is added; this is the default option)
    • Boken
    • Spotlight
    • Waves
    ✔ The changes are automatically saved and the selected effect is displayed on the stage. 

Note: Adding the waiting screen effect is not possible if you upload a custom image for your stage background.

Edges style

To customize the style of the stage and the video tile edges of your Studio broadcast:

  1. Go to the Branding tab in the Studio panel. 
  2. Under Edges style, select one of the following options:
    • Round (this is the default option)
    • Square
    • Blob
    ✔ The changes are automatically saved and the selected edges style is displayed on the stage.
