Screen layouts are powerful tools for personalizing and tailoring your screen setup. They enhance attendee engagement and direct attendees' focus toward specific content. This guide explains how to change a screen layout in the RingCentral Events Studio.
Changing screen layouts
To change a screen layout in the Studio:
- Go to the Stage tab in the Studio panel.
- Click on the Layouts dropdown.
- Select the preferred display option from the 4 pre-set screen layouts available.
✔ The changes are automatically saved and the selected layout is displayed on the stage.
Fill layout (default)
The Fill layout is best for collaborative sessions with equal participation.
-
Without screen share: Displays all participants equally in a grid format.
-
With screen share: The shared screen is displayed prominently, with participant video tiles arranged around it.
Cinema layout
The Cinema layout is optimal for presentations where the content needs the full focus of the audience.
- Without screen share: Looks like the Fill layout.
-
With screen share: Removes all video tiles, focusing entirely on the shared screen while still allowing speakers to retain their sharing permissions.
Tip: The Cinema layout can also be enabled when sharing screen, video, or slides. Hover over the content tile on stage and click the Expand icon to switch to full-screen mode. To come back to the default screen layout, hover over the video again and click the Collapse icon.
Crop layout
The Crop layout is ideal for sessions with many speakers to save space.
-
Without screen share: Video tiles are cropped to reduce space, ideal for sessions with multiple speakers.
-
With screen share: The screen share occupies most of the screen, with cropped video tiles arranged around it.
Float layout
The Float layout is useful when the content and speaker reactions are equally important.
- Without screen share: Looks like the Fill layout.
-
With screen share: Speaker video tiles overlay the shared screen, allowing attendees to see both the speakers and content simultaneously.
