A sharing snippet is a preview of your event page that is shown when it is shared on social media or viewed on a search engine. Instead of a simple link, users get additional information about the content behind the link. This guide explains how to customize your social snippet description.
The default social snippet headline and description are based on the following template:
[event name] - [event start date] | RingCentral Events
Get tickets to [event name], taking place [event start date] to [event end date]. RingCentral Events is your source for engaging events and experiences.
To add a custom sharing snippet description for your event:
- Go to Event Dashboard > Marketing > Sharing and Tracking.
- Under Sharing snippet, add your text (120 characters max).
Tip: The description length in your preview snippet will vary depending on where it is displayed. We limit your description length to 120 characters, so it doesn't get cut off on mobile. - Click Save.
