How to display a chat message, a question or a poll on the screen in Sessions

Displaying chat messages, questions and polls on screen serves as an excellent method to actively engage the audience, reflect the overall atmosphere, and organize the presentation effectively.

Both Event Organizers and designated Session Moderators using Sessions have the ability to showcase a chat message or a question from the Q&A on the screen with a simple click.

Highlighting a chat messages

To display a chat messages on the screen in a Session, hover a message in the chat area and click Highlight message.

This action will display the chat message on the bottom left of the screen.

The message can be removed by hovering the message in the chat area or on the screen directly and clicking Stop highlighting message option.

Highlighting another message or question will replace the current message on screen.

Note: If another message is not highlighted, the message will be display on screen for a minute and will get removed automatically.

Highlighting a question

Question from the Sessions Q&A can be displayed on screen, in a similar way as chat messages. To display a question on the screen in a Session, hover a question in the Q&A tab and click Highlight message.

This action will display the question on the bottom left of the screen.

The question can be removed by hovering the message in the chat area or on the screen directly and clicking Stop highlighting message option.

Highlighting another message or question will replace the current message on screen.

Note: If another message is not highlighted, the question will be display on screen for a minute and will get removed automatically.

Highlighting a poll

To display a poll on the screen in a Session, hover a poll in the Polls tab and click Highlight poll.

The poll will be displayed on the screen as a separate video tile. Attendees can participate directly on screen by selecting their option and clicking Submit Response. 

Once a response is submitted, the voting results will be visible, just like in the Polls tab.

To remove the poll, hover it in the Polls tab or on the screen directly and click Stop highlighting poll option.

Note: Unlike messages and questions, polls won't disappear automatically, and they will stay on screen until you manually remove them or highlight another poll.

Tip: You can highlight a poll and a message or a question simultaneously if needed.
