Changing a registrant's ticket type

If a registrant has selected a wrong ticket type when registering for your event, you have the flexibility to change it. This guide explains how to change the ticket type associated with a registration in the Event Dashboard. 

Tip: When hosting a Hybrid or Onsite event, you can also change the ticket type in the Organizer app. To learn more, refer to our guide on Viewing and editing attendee information in the Organizer app.

Important notes:

  • The registrant will be still able to use the same magic link to access the event.
  • There will be no confirmation emails sent out either to you or the registrant.
  • Ticket will still have the same price or will stay free. You will need to issue the refund or issue a charge for the new ticket manually if applicable.

To change the ticket type associated with the registration:

  1. Go to Event Dashboard > Registration > Registrants
  2. Use the search bar and filter option to find your registrant.
  3. Hover over the selected registrant, click the Menu icon ••• and select See details.


  4. In the Registration details window, click Edit details.


  5. Under Ticket type, select a different ticket type.
  6. Once ready, click Save.
    Note: If you've created a custom registration form, go to Form answers and ensure all required question are filled in to be able to save the changes.
