This guide explains how to configure a custom legal question added to your registration form. For complete information on the registration form, refer to our guide on Creating a registration form.

To add a legal question:

  1. Go to Event Dashboard > Registration > Registration Form.
  2. Under Form Fields, and select Legal.
  3. In the Field text textbox, customize the text. To include a hyperlink, use square brackets to define the text on the link and then, directly afterwards (no spaces), use round brackets/parentheses to define the URL.
    Example:
Use the appropriate brackets to define the text and the URL you would like to link to it:
    I accept the [Terms & Conditions](https://www.example.com/terms&conds)
And it will look like this in your preview box, with the hyperlink you included:
I accept the Terms & Conditions
  4. Under Preview, review your question to ensure the correct format.
  5. In the Ticket types drop-down, select which ticket types must answer the question.
  6. The Required question check box is selected by default to make the question required. Attendees will need to answer it in order to register or access the event.
  7. Once ready, click Save.

When registering for the event, after selecting a ticket, users will be asked to fill in the registration form. Name and email are listed under Basic Information, while all custom questions are listed under Additional Information. Users will need to fill in all required questions to proceed. Here is what a legal question will look like:
